7 | The building for the wheelchair basketball has photovoltaic arrays on the roof. According to this display in the ground floor entryway, it was producing (on a very smoggy day) nearly 27 kilowatts of juice, and 45 kilowatt hours so far today. That is a LOT of electricity - an average US (read, bloated overuser) house might need 3 to 5 kilowatts for summertime AC support. So the 28 panel arrays were doing pretty good given the smog blocking the sun. I have yet to see the sun shining so strongly that I could not look at it with the nekkid eye, btw.
